Before joining the University of Akron, Alex was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Allen J. Bard at the University of Texas at Austin (2011-2014). In Saskatchewan Alex worked under the supervision of Andrzej S. Baranski.

Ariana is working on developing novel electroanalytical detection methods utilizing ac polarized electrodes. Outside the lab, she enjoys reading and playing with her cats.

Linda is developing a novel technique called Hot-tip Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (HT-SECM). She also loves physics and computer science.

In her free time, Zhiling likes to run, listen to music, and watch TV.

B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 2015, and M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 2016. Both from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.


Syed is developing methods of detection of Hg-species using hot microelectrodes. Outside the lab, he likes listening to music, singing, watching movies and TV series, playing sports (soccer) and playing games.
